La Casa de las Flores is the design and renovation project of a historic building in the Old Town of the city of Cartagena, in the Region of Murcia.

The building consists of 4 floors, with three room units per floor. Each room is completely independent, with its own bathroom, kitchen and living area.

The location of the original spiral staircase in the central part of the building, and the new design of a large tiled patio at the back allow the three rooms to have natural light throughout the day.

For the conceptual development, every detail, every material, every footprint of the building became a common thread that led to a catalog of soft shapes and vibrant colors to honor the Hotel’s name.

The rounded shapes invade passages and accesses but also zoned the space through a colored footprint on the pavement and on some vertical walls as a plinth.

Each room has a different chromatic palette, from blue and yellow or pink and mint to warm red and green… Each experience is unique!
